Dina Meyer was born in Forest Hills, Queens, New York, but moved to Dix Hills, Long Island, just before her last year in junior high school. Her two brothers are Gregory the elder brother of her, and Evan. The first time she was in the entertainment industry came in the form of modeling between the ages of nine and 16. Ron Stetson taught her the Sanford Meisner acting technique at The Neighborhood Playhouse. Sandra Bullock received similar training and also Michael Douglas and Jeff Goldblum. Leslie Nielsen, Diane Keaton and Diane Keaton are also among the actors who have received this type of training. Following her move into Los Angeles, she got her first part in the Beverly Hills 90210. In the next couple of months, she was offered the part as Johnny Mnemonic. For this film, she was the one responsible for nearly all stunts and demonstrated herself as an accomplished actor. Through her agent who also is the representative of Matt LeBlanc she scored a role as a guest star on Friends.
